Accelerating the Development of Circular Systems: HOYU Develops Key High-Performance Mono-Material Technologies

Textile-to-textile (T2T) recycling has become a major topic in sustainable fashion and textiles in recent years. From brands to supply chains, stakeholders are actively seeking systemic solutions to extend the value of textiles.


In the journey toward building a circular system, the “recyclability” of textiles remains a significant challenge. Traditional functional fabrics are often composed of fibers, coatings, and laminates with different material properties, making separation and recycling difficult at end-of-life.


In a March 2026 publication by Performance Days, “collection” and “sorting” were officially identified as the biggest challenges in achieving T2T recycling.
