CYCLEPET® is crafted from recycled PET bottles that are sorted, cleaned, compressed, and crushed into flakes before being re-polymerized into pellets. These pellets are spun into recycled PET yarn, sourced from Taiwanese yarn factories, ensuring the fabric matches the stability of traditional polyester fibers.
Since 2005, HOYU has pioneered the development of recycled PET fabrics. In 2007, Osprey introduced the first backpack made with HOYU’s recycled PET fabric, featuring over 70% recycled content. This milestone spurred the growth of the recycled PET fabric market, reducing production costs across the supply chain.
Replacing traditional polyester fabrics with recycled PET fabrics reduces wastewater discharge and significantly lowers crude oil consumption. All CYCLEPET® fabrics are produced through eco-friendly processes, certified by GRS and compliant with Bluesign system standards.
