In recent years, textile recycling has largely focused on single-material products, while composite or coated textiles typically require energy-intensive chemical processes or are downcycled into low-value materials such as fuel rods — resulting in the continuous loss of material value.
NEUCYCLE® is an innovative circular solution developed by HOYU Textile, designed to physically recycle composite textiles, including laminated, coated, and multi-layered fabrics. This approach significantly reduces textile waste and dependency on virgin petrochemical resources.
The technology has been successfully applied in outdoor functional bags and is expanding into cross-industry applications, demonstrating great potential to scale sustainable impact.
Among NEUCYCLE®’s achievements, the Mingle TPU series — made from recycled composite materials — was recognized as a “Top Product” by ISPO Textrends in Munich, and NEUCYCLE® itself received the “Innovative Technology Award” at the 2023 Taiwan Circular Economy Awards.
The name NEUCYCLE® derives from the idea of “a new cycle,” symbolizing a responsible, inclusive approach to waste. By prioritizing low-carbon, chemical-reducing, and energy-saving physical recycling, NEUCYCLE® enables a circular path for complex materials.
HOYU began this journey with pre-consumer waste generated from in-house manufacturing, using it as a base for NEUCYCLE®’s early development. Today, we continue to evolve the technology with the ambition of tackling post-consumer textile waste, guided by circular design principles that plan for the full product life cycle from the start.
